| The Town's Post Office (now
closed and solely a private residence; the post office now
operates out of the service station). The Town's Community
Hall, which was once the picture theatre. |

Museum |
| The ex-hospital, now a museum
(but currently closed), occupies a slope at the northern end
of town, where it operated for 17 years. By the time of its
closure, $20,000 in equipment had been purchased by the
community, including a specially modified wing just to cater
for the needs of one dying miner. Unable to find staff, the
hospital was shut down soon after the mines closed. |
